The Red Pepper Deli and Bistro is a little gem of a cafe tucked among the shops at Ben Rhydding.

It looks good from the outside and it is good on the inside.

This little cafe will make you wish you lived in one of those gorgeous flats on Bolling Road just so that you can get up in the morning and pop over there with your Daily Newspaper.

The wooden flooring makes the place feel warm and inviting and it is nicely set out inside with plenty of delicious smelling breads, home-made hummus, dips and mouth-watering cakes on display.

The Deli feels like a quality cafe – you expect the rich aroma of expensive coffee as you walk in the door, you know that the soup will be thick, home-made broth and you would be right in thinking that the cakes will be amazing.

The food really is fantastic -real Deli fodder, and staff have got the right mix of traditional snacks and slightly more exotic dishes.

And check this out – the cafe does special picnics for walkers on Ilkley moor. All you have to do is pop in or phone them and they will get your order ready for you.

Throwing a dinner party but not so good at cooking? Take your empty dishes into the Deli and they will fill them with exciting food that you can pass off as your own!

This cafe would do well to open really late at night on a regular basis. I for one would be queuing up to go.

VERDICT – 9/10
